At Atelier Michto our philosophy follows the belief that «Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire».
We believe that the creative experience should be at the center of the learning process, more than the finished product, and that freedom is a very important component of art learning.

Lola, the founder of the Atelier, is a graphic designer and an art teacher. She has been trained in France, at the National School of Decorative Arts (Arts Décos de Paris) and is also an official French State teacher (CAPES Arts Plastiques) with 10 years of practice.
She has a breadth of teaching experience and has worked with and alongside children and adults of varying ages and abilities. She has also been in charge of an Art Atelier in a Reggio Emilia inspired school, which opened her teaching even more towards open-ended pedagogy.
